How to import images of people into OpCenter for use with face recognition?

Instructions

To import images, the following steps must be performed:

1. Create a new channel in SystemManager of type 

2. In OpCenter, go to the People tab and click Import.

3. To import all images in a folder, select Automatic. To import images one at a time, select Manual.

4. For an automatic import:

   1. Specify a folder to import.

   2. To include subfolders check Include images in lower-level folders.

   3. Specify where the faces should be used to create new people.

   4. Specify how to handle duplicate images:

      • Do not import files that are exactly the same as any files already in the 3VR system

      • Do not import files that are exactly the same as any files already imported during this import session

      • Allow duplicate image files to be imported

   5. If desired, enter a set identifier - all images in this set will be tagged with the identifier

5. For a manual import:

   1. Browse to the location where the image is stored.

   2. Click Get Images. All images in the selected folder will be displayed.

   3. Select the image to import.

   4. If the 3VR system finds a face, an orange box will be place over it. If it does not find a face, re-center the box over the face.

   5. Click Import. If no face is found, it will not let you import that image into the system.

   6. If the face is accepted, specify whether to [ ] Create a new person or enter a Set Identifier if desired.

   7. Click Import again to import the image.
