How is XApCom installed and configured on an ATM? What needs to be done on the XApCom side to enable it to work with 3VR?

XApCom is software, developed by Diebold, that enables an ATM equipped with a video surveillance system to capture transaction data and store the data with a video image of the consumer using the ATM

Instructions

XApCom is installed by technicians trained for Diebold ATMs. If the technician asking general questions about how to configure the ATM, rather than specific questions about how to set up the 3VR portion of the integration, refer them to their project manager.

Prerequisites

  1. The ATM must be successfully on the network

  2. The ATM must use the TCP/IP protocol (serial is not supported)

  3. The IP address of the 3VR must have been entered in the XApCom software ("broadcasting to the 3VR's IP address")

 The below screenshot is from Diebold's Agilis Configuration Guide. This shows the screen where the technician would select the protocol Tcpip and enter the IP address of the 3VR in the Diebold/Lanex DVR IP field. If you are troubleshooting the XApCom plug-in, this is the first setting to check. Note that this screen also displays the ATM ID.
