How many channels of analytics/IP cameras can I have on my system?

The number of channels allowed depends on three things: hardware, licensing and resource units:

1. Hardware: The number of analog channels on a hybrid 3VR is fixed, except in the case of 24-channel units.

2. Licensing: How many channels have been purchased (or were included with the SmartRecorder when it was purchased). Customers can purchase extra licenses for analytics or IP channels, up to the number permitted by resource unit limits.

3. Resource units: the maximum number of channels that can be enabled, based on the system specs. The number of resource units on any given model is fixed, and various components on the system take up resource units.
