Export Options

How different Export options in OpCenter help the user.

Instructions

We can export video and event data in 3 formats, and they are accessible in multiple ways. The export option that is picked by the user shows the type of export data format the user is interested:

  • Video: video file from the event(s) is exported, with a readme.html explaining how to view in various video players

  • EvidenceViewer video file: video export that the 3VR EvidenceViewer application can use

  • Event Storyboard (XML): Creates a storyboard view of events, which can be opened and viewed in a web browser, and can be imported into other systems

Different methods of export:

  1. Right click event card menu:

    1. Export Event results in Video files OR Event Storyboard (XML): Same as the Export button on the Search panel.

      • If user only exports video files, no XML will be exported

      • If user exports video and image files, creates the storyboard view of events, that is viewed in a web browser, can be imported into other systems.

    2. Export Video By Event results in video:

      • Exports only the video file from the event(s), with a readme.html explaining how to view in various video players

    3. Export Video By Channel/Time results in EvidenceViewer video files: Same as the Export button on the Video panel.

          • Creates the XML view of events that can be viewed in a web browser

          • XML can be imported into other 3VRs
