Access Denied when launching Velocity
Introduction
The Access Denied message when launching the Velocity thick client indicates the user was able to make a successful connection to the Velocity database, Velocity was able to determine they are an operator with an assigned role, but Velocity was unable to locate this user in the Velocity Users Group.
Solution
For a Velocity standalone workstation go to Computer Management > Local Users and Groups > Groups > Locate Velocity Users Group > right-click > Properties. Add the Velocity operator to the Velocity Users Group.
For Velocity Servers on an Active Directory Domain go to Active Directory Users and Computers. Locate the Velocity Users group and add the Velocity Operator as a member
