Queue Line

Queue Line analytics in 3VR VMS sends alerts and events about objects or people in standing in a queue and their average waiting time for checkout. The system sends alerts when the number of people exceeds the threshold limit for a single queue.

Viewing Queue Events

Monitoring Recent Queue Events in the Monitor Panel

The OpCenter Monitor panel allows you to view events as they happen. You can specify which cameras to view, and what types of events are displayed.

Use the following steps to view recent events generated by the Queue Line plug-in:

  1. In 3VR OpCenter, click the Monitor tab to go to the Monitor panel.

  2. Click camera numbers to select the cameras associated with the Queue Line plug-in.

  3. Click the arrow below the camera selector to open the event type drop-down menu.

Viewing Queue Events

When a Queue event card is selected, the video clip
associated with the event will play back in the video
player.

Details about the event may be viewed in the event
editor, located below the video player.

In addition to the tabs available for all event types,
such as Notes and Images, Queue events include the following information in the Details tab:

  • Shortest: The shortest queue observed over the duration of the Queue event

  • Peak: The longest queue observed over the duration of the Queue event

  • Average: The average queue length over the duration of the Queue event

About Queue Event Cards

A Queue event will be generated in OpCenter at the interval specified during plug-in configuration. By default, a queue event is generated every 2 minutes.

Queue event cards contain pictures, video, and information about the queue. They appear in the Monitor panel for recent events and in the Search panel for search results.

Each Queue event card contains the following information in storyboard view:

  1. Thumbnail image

  2. Camera number and name

  3. Time of event

  4. Event type

  5. Event length

  6. Queue statistics
with additional information displayed on mouse over:

  7. Date of event

When sorting search results by similarity, the following criteria is used to define what “most similar” means for sorting purposes:

  • [ ]Peak Queue: Sorts events by queue length. Returns longest queue first.

  • [ ]Average Queue: Sorts events by average queue length. Returns longest average first.

  • [ ]Shortest Queue: Sorts events by queue length. Returns shortest queue first.
