Preparing 3VR VMS Server for C•CURE Integration
This guide is intended for use by an experienced C•CURE user or integrator. If you need assistance completing the integration, please contact your C•CURE integrator.
Enabling Web Services
The C•CURE integration uses 3VR’s web services feature to connect to the 3VR VisionPoint™ VMS server. Before installing the integration software, you should enable this feature on each unit that will transmit or receive data from C•CURE:
Info |
---|
The integration software must be installed on each 3VR VMS server you wish to connect to the C•CURE system. It is not intended to be installed on a 3VR Enterprise server. |
Launch 3VR System Manager.
In the Configure panel, right-click the name of the VMS server and select Start Web Services from the menu.
Click OK to confirm.
Creating 3VR User Account for C•CURE Integration
In Section 7.2.3 of this guide, you will need to give the C•CURE system login information for an Integrator-level 3VR user account with access to all the VMS servers you plan to use in your integration. We recommend that you create a new user for this purpose. Use the following steps to create a new user account that will be reserved for the C•CURE integration:
In 3VR System Manager, click the Accounts tab.
Click New.
In the New User dialog, configure the details of the new user account that will be used for the C•CURE integration:
First Name: enter some text for the first name, such as “C-Cure” (or leave blank)
Last Name: enter some text for the last name, such as “User” (or leave blank)
User Name: enter a descriptive user name, such as CCureIntegration
Password: create a password for the new user account, the retype the password
Role: select Integrator from the drop-down menu
Auto Sign Out: select Disabled from the drop-down menu
Verify that Expire password at a given date and time is not checked.
Verify the Authorized Regions and Appliances panel gives this user account access to all 3VR VMS servers that will be used in C•CURE integration.
Click Save to create the new user account.
Configuring NTP Server Information
The 3VR VMS server and C•CURE machine must be set to the same date and time in order for the integration to successfully correlate data from both systems. The easiest way to ensure this requirement is met is to configure both machines to sync with the same NTP (Network Time Protocol) server.
Use the following steps to configure this setting on each system:
VMS Server NTP Server Configuration
Launch 3VR System Manager.
In the Configure panel, select the name of the VMS server in the left-hand panel to view the system settings.
Click Common Operations, then click Date and Time Settings.
Click ¤ Automatically set time from a remote server.
Type the address of the NTP server in the NTP Server box.
Click Test Connection and verify that the connection to the NTP server is succesful.
Click Save.
Click OK in the Confirm Changes dialog box. System Manager will close.
C•CURE 9000 NTP Server Configuration
Consult your C•CURE 9000 documentation for assistance configuring the C•CURE system date and time settings. The C•CURE system should be set to sync with the NTP server address entered in above topic.
