Viewing Peso por Demanda events

Monitoring Recent Peso por Demanda Events in the Monitor Panel

The OpCenter Monitor panel allows you to view events as they happen. You can specify which cameras to view, and what types of events are displayed. Use the following steps to view recent events generated by the Cemex plug-in:

  1. In 3VR OpCenter, click the Monitor tab to go to the Monitor panel.

  2. Click camera numbers to select the cameras associated with the plug-in.

  3. Click the arrow below the camera selector to open the event type drop-down menu.

  4. Select the event type to monitor:

    • [ ]Peso por Demanda.

  5. Click OK.

  6. The Monitor panel will update to display only Peso por Demanda events from the selected cameras.

To view complete details of an event, click the event card. The event card will turn blue, indicating it is currently selected. Complete Peso por Demanda event details can also be viewed by hovering the mouse over an event card.

Peso por Demanda Event Cards

A Peso por Demanda event will be generated in OpCenter whenever the 3VR appliance receives data packets on the configured port from the weight indicator integrated with the appliance.. Peso por Demanda event cards appear in the Monitor panel for recent events and in the Search panel for search results. They contain images and video from the camera linked to the each event as well as the following information in storyboard view:

a. Thumbnail image
b. Camera number and name
c. Time of event
d. Event type
e. Length of the event video clip
f. ID Báscula: Scale ID
g. ID: Transaction ID
h. Entrada(kg): Entrance Weight
i. Bruto(kg): Gross Weight
j. Tara(kg): Tare Weight
k. Neto(kg): Net Weight
l. Fecha: Timestamp
m. Compañia: Company Name
n. Planta: Plant Address

Viewing Peso Por Demanda Events

When a Peso por Demanda event card is selected, details about the event may be viewed in the event editor, located below the video player.

In addition to the tabs available for all event types, such as Notes and Images, Peso por Demanda events include the following information in the Details tab of the event editor:

  • Scale Identifier: The scale ID of the transaction source.

  • Transaction ID: ID keyed into the weight indicator by the scale operator; for example the license plate of the weighed truck.

  • Entrance Weight: The entrance weight of the empty truck, taken prior to loading product.

  • Gross Weight: The weight of truck loaded with dispensed product.

  • Tare Weight: Same as entrance weight above, recalled from memory by the weight indicator.

  • Net Weight: Weight of dispensed product, calculated by weight indicator by subtracting tare weight from gross weight.

  • Timestamp: The date and time recorded by the weight indicator.

  • Company Name: The name of the CEMEX company.

  • Plant Address: Address of the specific CEMEX plant location.

Searching for Peso por Demanda Events

Use the Search panel to find Peso por Demanda events generated days, weeks, or months ago.

  1. To go to the Search panel, click the Search tab.

  2. Define the dates, days of the week, and time ranges to search for events.

  3. Under Cameras, select one or more cameras bound to the Cemex plug-in.

  4. Under Events, select the event type to search for:

    • [ ]Peso por Demanda

  5. The following options are available when searching for Peso por Demanda events:

    • Click ( )All Peso por Demanda to search for all Peso por Demanda events captured during the specified time range.

    • To further narrow the scope, click ( )Specify to display additional search parameters unique to Peso por Demanda events.

    • This example will search for events that match the following:

      • Scale Identifier (Scale ID) containing the string “7150E001”.

      • Entrance Weight less than (<) 11000.

      • Gross Weight equal to or greater than (>=)10000 and less than or equal to (<=)12000.

  6. When you are finished defining the criteria for the search, click the Search button.

  7. Peso por Demanda events matching your criteria will be displayed in the Search panel results screen.

  8. Select an event card to view the video clip and details associated with the event.

All events with improperly formatted transaction data can be found by searching for an Entrance Weight equal to -1 or Company Name equal to “Malformed”

What is “Malformed” transaction data?

Malformed transaction data is transaction information received by the 3VR Appliance that does not conform to the print output template, defined in the CEMEX Peso por Demanda Installation and Configuration Guide. Please contact your integrator if you see Peso Por Demanda events with malformed transaction data.

Creating Alerts for Peso por Demanda Events

In the Alerts panel, you can instruct the 3VR appliance to perform a specified action when video is recorded that matches certain criteria. Use the following steps to set up an alert that will perform an action, such as sending an email, in response to an event generated by a Cemex plug-in.

  1. To go to the Alerts panel, click the Alerts tab.

  2. To create a new alert, click New.

    In the alert editing screen, define the criteria for the alert:

  3. Type a name for the new alert.

  4. Select a color for the alert. The color will be displayed on event cards that trigger the alert.

  5. Specify the day of the week and hours that the alert should be active.

  6. Under Cameras, select one or more cameras bound to the Cemex plug-in.

  7. Check the boxes next to one or more alert Actions to carry out when the alert is triggered.

  8. If desired, type an alert response procedure. This text will be included with the alert and posted on events that trigger the alert.

  9. Under Events, select the event type:

    • [ ]Peso por Demanda

  10. The following options are available when alerting for Peso por Demanda events:

    • Click ( )All to generate an alert for all Peso por Demanda events captured during the specified time range.

    • To generate alerts for specific types of transactions, click ( )Specify. The options under ( )Specify are identical to the event selector in the Search panel. Refer to section 2 for more information about creating reports using the Specify option.
      Alerts for events with malformed transaction data can be created by specifying Entrance Weight equals -1 or “Malformed” in the Company Name field.
      Alerts for events generated with a Scale ID not bound to a camera associated with the Cemex plugin can be generated by selecting the configured ‘unmapped’ channel.

  11. When you are finished defining the criteria for the alert, click the Save button.

  12. The alert will be added to the list of alerts displayed in the main view of the Alerts panel. Click the check box next to the alert to enable it.

Running Peso por Demanda Event Reports

The 3VR Report Viewer client application allows you to generate tabular reports based on data captured by the 3VR system. Use the following steps to set up a report for events generated by Cemex plug-in.

  1. From the Report Viewer home screen, click the New button.

  2. Select Event Report from the menu.
    Report Viewer will switch to the report editing screen.

  3. In the appliance tree in the left hand panel, select an appliance with the Cemex plug-in installed.

  4. Under Cameras, select one or more cameras bound to the Cemex plug-in.

  5. Under Events, select the Peso por Demanda event type. The following options are available when reporting on Peso por Demanda events:

    • Click ( )All to create a report for all transactions.

    • To restrict the report to specific types of transactions, click ( )Specify. The options under ( )Specify are identical to the event selector in the Search panel. Refer to section 2 for more information about creating reports using the Specify option.

  6. The fields under Report Parameters allow you to define the metadata of the report definition, such as its name and scope:

    1. Type a name and description for the report.

    2. Define the Date Range, Time Scope, and Interval.

    3. Select an option for the Group By and Then By drop-down menus to group report results by properties of Peso por Demanda events.

      1. For example, select Camera from the Group By menu and Type from the Then By menu to group first by camera, then by the type of transaction.

    4. When you are finished defining the criteria for the report definition, click the Save Report button.

    5. To run the Peso por Demanda event report, select the report definition from the list and click Run Report.

Report Viewer will immediately begin generating the report. While the report is processing, it will appear under Pending Reports.

When the report has been processed, it will move to the list of Saved Reports that have been generated from the report definition. Select the report and click View to view the report.
