Section 3: Physical Access

  • Physical The physical access to your new kiosk is secured through the keyed lock mechanism located back of the kiosk.

  • To ensure proper operation of the locking mechanism, ensure that the lock strike remains perpendicular to the leading edge of the kiosk when the unit is open and showing the strike. If the lock strike is not in the correct position the mechanism may not effectively lock the kiosk.

  • It is strongly recommended that keys be copied after purchase and placed in a documented and secured location to allow access to the kiosk as needed. Loss of keys will require physical removal and replacement of the lock at the expense of the customer. Lock replacement or modification must be completed by a technician approved by Identiv. Any uncertified or third-party modification of the lock mechanism will immediately void the manufacturer's warranty.

There are 4 x 5/8" holes in the base of the Kiosk and all 4 should be used to secure the panel to the ground. Typical installation is in concrete; use a 1/2" x 5" (minimum 4" depending on the thickness of the concrete) concrete anchor.

Use an anchor suitable for the material they are mounting it on, and make sure they use all 4 mounting holes.
