In System->Devices, check “Device Discovery Tool” checkbox
Click the EG2 IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) Devices tab
Click “Scan Devices” button. All EG2s IDENTIV EG-2s (Model FR-50-40-SB) in the network will appear in the data table.
To configure EG2IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB), click the ID/Mac address of the unit:

PRIMIS Server Address
EG2 IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) can connect to a primary and a secondary Velocity SMB PRIMIS server. Velocity SMB PRIMIS server addresses can either be IP addresses or DNS names. To configure Velocity SMB PRIMIS server address(s) fill out the two Server IP fields.

Master Lead Bridge(s)Velocity SMB PRIMIS Administrators can designate one or more EG2s IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB)s in the fleet as “Master “Lead Bridge(s)”. A Master Lead bridge facilitates global I/O access to the rest of the “Member” bridges.*note: it is highly recommended that Master Lead Bridge(s) use static IP’s.
Member Bridge(s)“Member” bridges need to know the IP address(s) of “Master” “Lead” bridges so as to forward Global I/O requests to the whole EG2 IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) network. To configure Master Lead Bridge Host IP, uncheck Master Lead Bridge checkbox and enter IP:
NTP Configuration
EG2 IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) is able to use NTP to sync its system clock. To configure NTP, enter the NTP server’s address and check “enabled.” By default, the NTP server address is pool.ntp.org.*note: for NTP to work, please make sure a legitimate Name Server is configured on the EG2IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB).
Installing TLS Certificate
After the TCP connection is established between the Velocity SMB PRIMIS server and the EG2IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB), we need to install the Velocity SMB PRIMIS CA certificate and the client certificate on the EG2 IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) by clicking the “Install Certificate” button. The client certificate, together with the Velocity SMB PRIMIS CA certificate, is used for the MQTT authentication.

Please make sure the EG-2 is enrolled prior to installing the TLS certificate; otherwise, the certificate installation will fail.
IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) Configuration on Multi-Principal Spoke Database Server
If the server is configured as a multimaster multi-principal spoke database server, the following additional steps are required before the EG2s IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) can be configured.
Go to System->Utilities->Server Activation.
Enter the configuration for the Enterprise License Server and click “Update” to update the license server information.
Go to System->EG2 >IDENTIV EG-2 (Model 50-40-SB) Devices.
Click the “Install Server Certificate” button to install the server certificate from the Enterprise License Server.

Replica Database Server
If the server is configured as a slave replica database server, the following additional steps are required before the EG2s IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB)s can be configured.
Go to System->Utilities->Server Activation.
Enter the configuration for the Root CA Server and click “Update” to update the license server information.
Go to System->EG2 >IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) Devices.
Click the “Install Server Certificate” button to install the server certificate from the Enterprise License Server.

In System->Devices, check “Device Discovery Tool” checkbox
Click EG2 IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) Devices tab
To enroll a EG2 an IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) Device, click the Import button.
On the next page, enter the device’s name and click Save.
The EG2 IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) Device is now enrolled into Velocity SMBPRIMIS Server. Administrators can now assign the device to Controlled Areas.

Managing Sync schedules
EG2 IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) device is able to synchronize its onboard database with the Velocity SMB PRIMIS server as frequently as every hour. This onboard database allows EG2s IDENTIV EG-2s (Model FR-50-40-SB) to function independently during Velocity SMB PRIMIS server outages or network failures. To assign sync schedules, simply click the corresponding checkbox under Device Sync Schedule.

Managing Application and OS Images
Velocity SMB PRIMIS Server can store EG2 IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) Applications and OS images for updates.

To upload the Application Image, Click the “App” tab under TRN. Click “Choose File”, select the image (*.strn) file, and click [ + ] to upload.
To delete the image file, click the [ x ] button for the image.
