After the TCP connection is established between the PRIMIS server and the IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB), we need to install the PRIMIS CA certificate and the client certificate on the IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) by clicking the “Install Certificate” button. The client certificate, together with the PRIMIS CA certificate, is used for the MQTT authentication.

Please make sure the EG-2 is enrolled prior to installing the TLS certificate; otherwise,  the certificate installation will fail.

Multi-Principal Spoke Database Server

If the server is configured as a multimaster multi-principal spoke database server, the following additional steps are required before the IDENTIV EG-2 (Model FR-50-40-SB) can be configured.

  1. Go to System->Utilities->Server Activation.

  2. Enter the configuration for the Enterprise License Server and click “Update” to update the license server information.

  3. Go to System->IDENTIV EG-2 (Model 50-40-SB) Devices.

  4. Click the “Install Server Certificate” button to install the server certificate from the Enterprise License Server.
