While 3VR recommends the APC SmartUPS 1000VA model, 3VR supports all APC models that connect via USB and meet the minimum power requirements for the particular model of VIP Appliance. An APC power supply will detect when the battery is low on the UPS device and shut down the 3VR VIP Appliance before the battery runs out completely.
