  1. In 3VR System Manager, click the Accounts tab.

  3. In the New User dialog, configure the details of the new user account that will be used for the C•CURE integration:

    • First Name: enter some text for the first name, such as “C-Cure” (or leave blank)

    • Password: create a password for the new user account, the retype the password

  4. Verify that Expire password at a given date and time is not checked.

  5. Verify the Authorized Regions and Appliances panel gives this user account access to all 3VR VMS servers that will be used in C•CURE integration.

  6. Click Save to create the new user account.

  1. Log on to the Software House C•CURE system with a user account with administrative access.

  2. Double-click the 3VR_C•CureInstaller-Release-7.0.0.98811-final.exe file to launch the InstallShield Wizard.
    It may be necessary to right-click the .exe and select Run as administrator.

  3. The C•CURE integration requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 to function.

  4. Click Install to proceed.

  5. At the Install Shield Wizard Welcome screen, click Next >.

  6. At the Custom Setup screen, specify which component of the integration to install. By default, both components are selected.

    1. Server

      1. If the current machine is the C•CURE server, this should be selected

      2. If it is a C•CURE client PC, click the drop-down arrow and select This feature will not be installed

    2. Client

      1. If the current machine is the C•CURE server and it does not have client software also installed, click the drop-down arrow and select This feature will not be installed

      2. If it is a C•CURE client PC, this should be selected

  7. Click Next >.

  8. If the Server component was selected in step 5, the Database Server screen will appear. Specify the following:

    • The location of the C•CURE database server

    • How to connect to the database. If not using Windows authentication credentials, select ¤ Server authentication using the Login ID and password below and enter the user name and password to use to connect to the database

    • The name of the C•CURE database catalog

  9. Click Next >.

  10. Click Install to install the software.

  11. When installation is complete, click Finish to close the wizard.

d. Time Zone – This is the Time Zone of the 3VR VMS server. To configure the Time Zone, click the ... button and select the time zone where the 3VR VMS server is installed from the list.

Description

Creates a 30 second recorded video journal message. Refer to the C•CURE documentation for more information.

Automatically Create C•CURE Events Using 3VR Mappings

Mappings allow the user to automatically create a set of the most common C•CURE alarms quickly and easily. In most scenarios, we recommend using this automatic option over manually configuring a “Map to 3VR Camera” action as described in Adding the “Map to 3VR Camera” Action to a C•CURE Event.

  2. Right-click Mappings and select New Mapping.

  3. Edit the settings of the Mapping as follows:

    1. Name – The name of the Mapping.

    2. Description – A description of the Mapping.

    3. Enabled – This enables or disables the Mapping. Disabling the Mapping will also disable the associated event so no event will be created.

    4. Controller – This is the controller under which the door belongs.

    5. Door – The door to watch for access events.

    6. Appliance – The 3VR VMS server on which the C•CURE event will be created.

    7. Camera – The 3VR camera on which the C•CURE event will be created.

    8. Save and Close – Saves your changes and closes the dialog.

The Mapping will also automatically be disabled if the event or the triggers associated with this Mapping are deleted.

Enabling Demand Video and Image Buffering in 3VR System Manager

  1. In the Configure panel of System Manager, click the plus sign next to the VMS server name in the left-hand panel.

  2. Click the plus sign next to Cameras to display the list of cameras on the VMS server.

  3. For each camera that will receive events:

    1. Select the camera to view its settings.

    2. Change the Allow Demand Image Buffering setting to Yes (On).

    3. Change the Allow Demand Video Recording setting to Yes (On).

    4. Click Save.

Verifying Successful Event Generation

  1. In 3VR OpCenter, click the Monitor tab to go to the Monitor panel.

  2. Click camera numbers to select the cameras mapped to C•CURE events.

  3. Click the arrow below the camera selector to open the event type drop-down menu.

  4. Select [ ]CCure Event.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Recent events created on the 3VR VMS server by the C•CURE integration will appear in the Monitor panel.

The Alert Watch is designed to watch for 3VR Events with Alerts and bring that functionality into the C•CURE application. When a 3VR Event with an Alert that is monitored by an active Alert Watch occurs, a C•CURE Journal Message will be created with the format:

3VR Alert ([alert name]) occurred on Appliance ‘[VMS server name]’, Camera ‘[camera name]’.

In addition, whenever the C•CURE integration receives notification from an Alert Watch, it will activate any video camera alarms of type Analytics that have been established for the corresponding camera.
