  1. Log on to the Software House C•CURE system with a user account with administrative access.

  2. Double-click the 3VR_C•CureInstaller-Release-7.0.0.98811-final.exe file to launch the InstallShield Wizard.
    It may be necessary to right-click the .exe and select Run as administrator.

  3. The C•CURE integration requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 to function.

  4. Click Install to proceed.

  5. At the Install Shield Wizard Welcome screen, click Next >.

  6. At the Custom Setup screen, specify which component of the integration to install. By default, both components are selected.

    1. Server

      1. If the current machine is the C•CURE server, this should be selected

      2. If it is a C•CURE client PC, click the drop-down arrow and select This feature will not be installed

      1. If the current machine is the C•CURE server and it does not have client software also installed, click the drop-down arrow and select This feature will not be installed

      2. If it is a C•CURE client PC, this should be selected

  7. Click Next >.

  8. If the Server component was selected in step 5, the Database Server screen will appear. Specify the following:

    • The location of the C•CURE database server

    • How to connect to the database. If not using Windows authentication credentials, select ¤ Server authentication using the Login ID and password below and enter the user name and password to use to connect to the database

    • The name of the C•CURE database catalog

  9. Click Next >.

  10. Click Install to install the software.

  11. When installation is complete, click Finish to close the wizard.

c. Enabled – This check box enables or disables the 3VR VMS Server.

In the General Tab:

d. Time Zone – This is the Time Zone of the 3VR VMS server. To configure the Time Zone, click the ... button and select the time zone where the 3VR VMS server is installed from the list.

The Alert Watch is designed to watch for 3VR Events with Alerts and bring that functionality into the C•CURE application. When a 3VR Event with an Alert that is monitored by an active Alert Watch occurs, a C•CURE Journal Message will be created with the format:

3VR Alert ([alert name]) occurred on Appliance ‘[VMS server name]’, Camera ‘[camera name]’.

In addition, whenever the C•CURE integration receives notification from an Alert Watch, it will activate any video camera alarms of type Analytics that have been established for the corresponding camera.

Editing an Existing Alert Watch

  2. Click the plus sign to the left of the VMS server name to display the VMS server’s existing Alert Watches.

  1. Name – The name of the Alert Watch.

  2. Description – A description of the Alert Watch.

  3. Enabled – This enables or disables the Alert Watch.

  4. Appliance – The 3VR VMS server on which to watch for an alert with the Alert name specified in (e).

  5. Alert – This is the name of the 3VR alert to watch. Whenever a 3VR alert with this name occurs on the 3VR VMS server selected in the previous field, the Alert Watch will write to the C•CURE Journal. In addition, if there is an Analytics Alarm configured on the 3VR camera on which the alert occurred, the analytics alarm will also be triggered.

  6. Save and Close – Saves your changes and closes the dialog.

Verifying Successful Alert Watch Configuration

  1. Configure a test alert in 3VR OpCenter. This should be an alert that is easily triggered (e.g. create an alert for any motion on a camera that is physically accessible to you).

  2. Configure an Alert Watch for the test alert as outlined in Installing 3VR Integration Software on C•CURE.

  3. Trigger the alert (e.g., walk in front of the camera selected in step 1).

  4. Open the OpCenter Monitor panel and verify that an Alert Event was created by your test.

  5. In C•CURE Administration Workstation, click the Options & Tools tab.

  6. Select Journal and click Run.

  7. In the Dynamic View - Journal View window, verify that a “3VR Alert” journal message appears for the Alert Event generated by your test.

Appendix: A

Checking 3VR Integration Software Version

  • Verify that the ThreeVRVideoServerComponent driver has been enabled and started in the Server Configuration Application (see section 6 Enable and Start 3VR Integration Driver for more information).

  • Verify that the database connection strings are correct.

    1. Launch the C•CURE 9000 Server Configuration Application.

    2. Select the Database Connections tab.

    3. Click the Test Database Connections button.

    4. If the test does not pass, verify that the entries for the following are correct:

  • ThreeVR.NextGenConnectionProgram.Common.VideoObjects

  • ThreeVR.SoftwareHouseIntegration.Objects.Action

C•CURE Events in 3VR OpCenter Only Show Partial Video
