  1. Log on to the Software House C•CURE system with a user account with administrative access.

  2. Double-click the 3VR_C•CureInstaller-Release-7.0.0.98811-final.exe file to launch the InstallShield Wizard.
    It may be necessary to right-click the .exe and select Run as administrator.

  3. The C•CURE integration requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 to function.

  4. Click Install to proceed.

  5. At the InstallShield Wizard Welcome screen, click Next >.

  6. At the Custom Setup screen, specify which component of the integration to install. By default, both components are selected.

    1. Server

      1. If the current machine is the C•CURE server, this should be selected

      2. If it is a C•CURE client PC, click the drop-down arrow and select This feature will not be installed

    2. Client

      1. If the current machine is the C•CURE server and it does not have client software also installed, click the drop-down arrow and select This feature will not be installed

      2. If it is a C•CURE client PC, this should be selected

  7. Click Next >.

  8. If the Server component was selected in step 5, the Database Server screen will appear. Specify the following:

    • The location of the C•CURE database server

    • How to connect to the database. If not using Windows authentication credentials, select ¤ Server authentication using the Login ID and password below and enter the user name and password to use to connect to the database

    • The name of the C•CURE database catalog

  9. Click Next >.

  10. Click Install to install the software.

  11. When installation is complete, click Finish to close the wizard.

c. Enabled – This check box enables or disables the 3VR VMS Server.

In the General Tab:

d. Time Zone – This is the Time Zone of the 3VR VMS server. To configure the Time Zone, click the ... button and select the time zone where the 3VR VMS server is installed from the list.

i. Poll Period – This is the interval at which the server is polled for connection information for this VMS server and its cameras.

In the Alarms tab, you may optionally configure an alarm for the current VMS server:

j. Click the Add button to add a new alarm for the VMS server.

Adding the “Map to 3VR Camera” Action to a C•CURE Event

Use the following steps to manually add a “Map to 3VR Camera” action to an event in the C•CURE system:

  1. In C•CURE Administration Workstation, click the Configuration tab in the left-hand panel.

  2. Select Event from the drop-down menu at the top of the Configuration tab.

  3. Click New to create a new C•CURE event, or to edit an existing event, click the green right arrow icon and then select the event from the list that will populate in the right-hand panel.

  4. In addition to the standard event settings such as Name and Description, the following settings must be configured to send the C•CURE event to the 3VR VMS server:

In the General tab:

a. Armed – Should be checked.

In the Action tab:

b. Click the Add button to add a new alarm for the camera.

c. Select Map to 3VR Camera from the Action drop-down menu.

d. Click the ... button next to Server and select the 3VR VMS server to which you wish to send the event.

e. Click the ... next to Camera and select the 3VR camera that should be mapped to the event.

f. Click Save and Close to save the event configuration.

  1. You will need to add this event to an alarm or trigger in order to activate it.

  2. The event cannot be activated by another event.

3VR Event Generation Settings

The settings in the Mapping Settings dialog affect the generation of C•CURE events in OpCenter. To access this dialog:

  1. In C•CURE Administration Workstation, click the 3VR tab in the left-hand panel.

  2. Click Edit Settings.

  3. Edit the following settings as desired:

    1. Event Start Time Delta – This is the amount of time before the C•CURE event which to include (Default: 15 seconds).

    2. Event End Time Delta – This is the amount of time after the C•CURE event which to include. (Default: 5 seconds)

    3. Search Start Time Delta – This is the amount of time before the event time of the 3VR C•CURE Event” for which to search for image comparison images (Default: 10 seconds).

    4. Search End Time Delta – This is the amount of time after the event time of the 3VR C•CURE Event for which to search for image comparison images (Default: 10 seconds).

    5. Save and Close – Saves your changes and closes the dialog.
