The VWSC website installation on a remote system enables configuring SSL communication between the VWSC web service and the remote system. A website installer bundle is required to install the VWSC website remotely. The website installer bundle installation is covered as part of the Velocity installation by following the steps below. To install the VWSC website remotely, a website installer bundle is necessary. The installation of the website installer bundle is included in the Velocity installation process.

  1. In the Velocity Web Services Client Installer window:

    Click Next and wait

    1. Select the Install Velocity Web Service only (Integration support)

    2. Check the Enable SSL Communication for Velocity Web Service and Website checkbox.

    3. Check and enable the Create Website bundle for a separate machinecheckbox option.

    4. Click Next

  2. The Service and Website Settings screens display to enter the existing service account and password to install the VWSC web service.

  3. Enter the Port number used for communication between Velocity and the Velocity Web Services Client.

    1. Enter the Account and Password field to be authenticated and click Next as shown.

  5. The default SSL certificate, “Identiv Velocity Web Services” is applied. Click Next to proceed.

  6. Wait until the installer completes the Velocity Web Services Client installation. A window like the one appears below.

  7. Click Next.

  8. To install the VWSC website in remote system, Locate the WebSiteBundle that is required for the installation of the VWSC website. Typically, the WebSiteBundle is available inside the folder path C:\Program Files (x86)\Identiv\Velocity\WebService\WebsiteBundle as shown below.

  9. Copy the WebSiteBundle folder to the remote system as shown.

  10. Run the WebSiteSetup.exe and wait till the installation is completed. You will notice the following screens until you get to step 9.

  11. A completion screen like the one appears below. Click Close to finish.

  12. You can access VWSC from your browser in your system by hitting the URL “https://localhost/VWSC/”
