  1. Ensure your computer(s) have the hardware and software described in the Hardware and Software Requirements.

  2. Install the operating system (and any indicated Service Pack) if not already done. The version of the Windows operating system you install depends on which Velocity role each computer will perform.

    The following table shows which versions of Windows are supported by Velocity 3.6, Velocity 3.7, and Velocity 3.8 for the different computer roles during new installations.

  3. Install SQL Server. Refer to Software Requirements for supported versions. 

  4. Install Velocity.
