Creating 3VR User Account for C•CURE Integration

In Section 7.2.3 of this guide, you will need Remember to give the C•CURE system login information for an Integrator-level 3VR user account with access to all the VMS servers you plan to use in your integration. We recommend that you create a new user for this purpose. Use the following steps to create a new user account that will be reserved for the C•CURE integration:

  1. In 3VR System Manager, click the Accounts tab.

  2. Click New.

  3. In the New User dialog, configure the details of the new user account that will be used for the C•CURE integration:

    • First Name: enter some text for the first name, such as “C-Cure” (or leave blank)

    • Last Name: enter some text for the last name, such as “User” (or leave blank)

    • User Name: enter a descriptive user name, such as CCureIntegration

    • Password: create a password for the new user account, the retype the password

    • Role: select Integrator from the drop-down menu

    • Auto Sign Out: select Disabled from the drop-down menu

  4. Verify that Expire password at a given date and time is not checked.

  5. Verify the Authorized Regions and Appliances panel gives this user account access to all 3VR VMS servers that will be used in C•CURE integration.

  6. Click Save to create the new user account.

  1. Launch 3VR System Manager.

  2. In the Configure panel, select the name of the VMS server in the left-hand panel to view the system settings.

  3. Click Common Operations, then click Date and Time Settings.

  4. Click ¤ Automatically set time from a remote server.

  5. Type the address of the NTP server in the NTP Server box.

  6. Click Test Connection and verify that the connection to the NTP server is succesful.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Click OK in the Confirm Changes dialog box. System Manager will close.

  1. Log on to the Software House C•CURE system with a user account with administrative access.

  2. Double-click the 3VR_C•CureInstaller-Release-7.0.0.98811-final.exe file to launch the InstallShield Wizard.
    It may be necessary to right-click the .exe and select Run as administrator.

  3. The C•CURE integration requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 to function.

  5. At the Install Shield Wizard Welcome screen, click Next >.

  6. At the Custom Setup screen, specify which component of the integration to install. By default, both components are selected.

    1. Server

      1. If the current machine is the C•CURE server, this should be selected

      2. If it is a C•CURE client PC, click the drop-down arrow and select This feature will not be installed

    2. Client

      1. If the current machine is the C•CURE server and it does not have client software also installed, click the drop-down arrow and select This feature will not be installed

      2. If it is a C•CURE client PC, this should be selected

  7. Click Next >.

  8. If the Server component was selected in step 5, the Database Server screen will appear. Specify the following:

    • The location of the C•CURE database server

    • How to connect to the database. If not using Windows authentication credentials, select ¤ Server authentication using the Login ID and password below and enter the user name and password to use to connect to the database

    • The name of the C•CURE database catalog

  9. Click Next >.

  10. Click Install to install the software.

  11. When installation is complete, click Finish to close the wizard.

  1. Launch the C•CURE 9000 Server Configuration Application.

  2. In the Services tab, confirm that the Crossfire Server Component Framework is running. If it is stopped, click Start Service to restart it.

The Alert Watch is designed to watch for 3VR Events with Alerts and bring that functionality into the C•CURE application. When a 3VR Event with an Alert that is monitored by an active Alert Watch occurs, a C•CURE Journal Message will be created with the format:

3VR Alert ([alert name]) occurred on Appliance ‘[VMS server name]’, Camera ‘[camera name]’.

In addition, whenever the C•CURE integration receives notification from an Alert Watch, it will activate any video camera alarms of type Analytics that have been established for the corresponding camera.
